My Role
As the Group Product Manager, my role is to help drive strategic alignment across multiple portfolios and internal teams to ensure this project's successful delivery. This is accomplished through a clear vision document, a three-year strategy, and a near-term 18mo problem/opportunity-based roadmap, paired with shared goals across functional areas, ensuring teams are all working toward the same outcomes.
Teams within each functional area collaborate with their design and engineering partners to provide creative solutions to problems and drive value for our clients. Close partnerships have also been created with peer leaders in product, tech and design to ensure alignment on goals.
Outcomes
Our original goals for this project were to reduce support related requests originating from search (users unable to find the non-profit they wanted to support) and to increase engagement with content. In the 30 days following the release of this feature we observed:
30% reduction in search-related support requests.
41% increase in search to donation conversion rates.
